About Us1999The Thornton Jr. High School, Honors Academy is an interdisciplinary program in World History, Science and Art designed for selected seventh grade students. The building of Insecta Inspecta World was the culmination of a year long research activity conducted under the review of the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution. We would like to express our grateful appreciation to Virginia Power, Director of Bugfest, for her unswerving support and assistance and to the many Entomologists, who returned e-mails and reviewed our fledgling efforts to study the fascinating world of insects. A special thank you to Dr. David Adamski for his many thoughtful suggestions.
